Art and craft therapy is a powerful form of healing that rejuvenates and enriches our experiences. It offers participants a platform to express hidden emotions, significantly supporting in their recovery process. These arts and crafts sessions aim to give voice to unheard, suppressed, and painful feelings from past experiences, as well as to express participants’ rights and hopes for the future through poetry, stories, speeches, drawings, making handmade cards, art, crafts, and other forms of creative expression. Many participants have never experienced crafts before. The girls in the Recovery Base Program are thriving in their creative endeavors, making beautiful creations from scratch during their free time. Using old newspapers, colored papers, wires, Popsicle sticks, and moreover a great hard work and dedication, they are learning and excelling in various arts and crafts. They engage in singing, dancing, drama, drawing, painting, music, poetry, and more under the art and crafts program.
“Art is not what you see, for what you make others see.” – Edgar Degas
